The Pilliod Park StoryWalk® was initiated to great success with roughly 150 visitors to the Swanton Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting and Easter Egg Hunt kickoff during National Library Week. Candy-filled plastic eggs and gummy worms were available to attendees and media coverage included local newspapers and NBC Channel 24. Swanton Village Council also made a proclamation in recognition and support of National Library Week during their regular meeting of the same week.

All ages—families welcome!
As part of the Christmas in Swanton celebration, join the Toledo Zoo in the Swanton High School Auditorium and meet some amazing animals! Many of the animals at the zoo have their own ‘superpowers’: adaptations that help them survive. The zoo will also bring its traveling touch tank so you can get up close and personal with some of the residents. Free for the whole family!
